The 1.0 launch will deliver a completely overhauled Adventure Mode, giving you a choice of temples to explore, each with a specific whip, relic, and series of challenges to overcome. The secrets are highly satisfying to find, and when a guardian is dropping poison bombs or just relentlessly advancing that can feel like it's working against the necessary concentration or experimentation needed to reach them. A lot of the time it can feel easier to just dash on through, ignoring the intricate room design to reach the door to the next one, and the next and the next until finally reaching the exit. Every once in a while, though, Phantom Abyss manages to balance the speed and exploration, and that's when it's at its best.

Only consider taking this ability if you run the Vine Whip or Ice Whip. The boosted jump of this blessing can stack with the boosted jump of the Vine Whip -- in which case, I would probably move it up a tier.

Phantom Abyss is a massive asynchronous multiplayer game that casts players into procedurally-generated temples and tasks them with retrieving the sacred relics hidden within deadly chambers. Intrepid adventurers will dodge scores of hidden traps, leap treacherous chasms, and flee relentless guardians through branching paths until one of the relics are claimed or the devices of death overwhelm them. Be warned, you only get one attempt at each temple and failure or settling for a lesser relic means you will never see that temple again... The cleverest players will use the phantom runs of failed attempts from other players to their advantage and avoid the missteps and mistakes that led to their doom. Asynchronous Multiplayer Explore the perilous halls and colossal rooms of each temple alongside the phantoms of fallen players that came before you.

If you are using lightning or ice whip, you can probably stay ahead a good bit longer, but it is still a very fast guardian.

Heal but better, as it also increases your health cap by one heart. If you have to choose between this and Heal, always choose Phantom Abyss the Heart Container.

Speedhackers already? I may be out of the loop, but I occasionally see phantoms that run at 2x or 3x the speed of a regular person, and depending on what type of whip I'm running, that takes steam out of my sails.
